full on!!

like these last few days have been totally full on its just so hectic!!! like i have a MAJOR assignment due on friday which is 3000 words and up till this morning i hadnt even started!!! but thankfully i managed to get a head start today and have done at least half the thing now...still thats not the half of it...i have another assignment due on monday also which is a group item so i have pressure from that as well...also i have 2 other group presentaion that i have to be doing as well and group meetings left right and centre all week....oh oh and a lecture participation assignment due in 2mrw that i havent done yet!!! like what unit ever has lecture participation marks...hello!! ya there;s tute mark but lecture marks...come on Dan! trust it to be an American lecturer's unit hey...they the ones with all these crazy things...so not impressed!!
so ya...as you can tell...hectic pressure!! HECTIC, HECTIC,HECTIC!!! ah well...such is 3rd year aint it...will get through it somehow...have to hey!!
i'm so busy ka that i cant even think straight...its all so overwhelming!! thats why i hate the second half of uni with a passion coz it all happens now doesnt it!!

steve's memorial

so it was steve irwin's memorial item today and all the tv stations had coverage of it. it was oh so so so sad hey...just like the final nail in the coffin for sho. one realises while watching these things that 4 real the dude is gone hey...makes you appreciate life sooo much! they had the prime minister johno there and he said a few words then his friends and little Bindi-Sue also had a speech...it was jus too sad man! i'm at uni right now and i actually almost missed my tute9which i discovered i dont have today) because i was watching the item...
ah well. he's there in heaven with his crocs and stuff hopefully...may he rest in peace. Crickey he was a champion!!!!!

yey...got my scarf

so if u read my previous post abt my pink scarf ages ago u wld know that i'm sooo happy i got my scarf back...like finally...ten years later. so i went to pick it up at murdoch last week and i'm happy to report that it was in excellent condition and rodney had looked after it very well...good on him 4 doing that!! i think he jus kept it and didnt return it jus so that i wld hound him for it and go get it...basically so that he wouldnt have to return it himself...yeah coz he said he's too lazy to catch the bus and travel like literaly 6mins down the road!!!! anywho..i got my scarf back and i'm happy!

shake shake it off

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.
Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off!

mid-semester already

My Goodness, am i glad its the mid-sem break alrady...sha was tired from uni hey. its good to have a week off and regenerate the batteries coz man they was getting low!! but sad thing is i have 2 mid-sem examz on the monday we back so ya...major pressure!! so i have to restrain myself from watching too much tv and actually studying..and thats gonna be preeeetyyyy hard coz i'm a self-confessed tv junkie!!but ah weelll we'll see wat goes on yeah

attention that u dont want

like wat abt having the spotlight shone on you when its just the last thing u want...yup.that happened to me today. i have successfully manged to go thru 2 years of uni without being called up to say anything in lectures...like i'm the type that when the lecturer ask a question to the class i literally duck or avert my eyes so as to be invisivble and i must say it work just fine for me...but alas!! today was jus not my day now was it coz surprise surprise i got picked out in this sea of about 200 people (far out huh!), i dnt know wat it was,maybe coz i was wearing bright read or maybe i was like the only black person there (aint it funny how us black people run to the 'coz i'm black' thing to explain everything that we think is unjust huh).anyway,so there i was and the american dude is like hey there wats yr name? it was funny coz i knew he was talking to me but of course i did the whole looking back thing and saying 'who me?' and he's like yup u,wats your name...like wat!!anyway i tell him my name and from then on he's lecturing and asking me so wat do u think hildah...eish man...pressure!! this was 4 like about 30mins...torture!!!
but i survived it and after the lecture all these stranger were cuming up to me saying 'shame hildah'...so ya,everybody in Strategis Management knows my name...ah well. wharried,its over and next class i'm gonna find myself a dark corner and rivert back to disappearing into the woodwork...

talk about shock, horror when i heard the news hey...like seriously touched hey! i dont know why tho but i cant explain it hey...maybe coz i saw him last year when i was at australia zoo in july on my visit to lindy. i was woken up this morning by a sms from anna...yeah anna u woke me up!!!hahaha nah it was cool,i needed to study anyway so it was all good...back to the point, so at 4am my 1st thot was just 'poor steve', like i was gonna get up and post an entry ryt there and then but i thot nah, i'll leave it til now.
so ystrday morning i'm sitting there with my sista watching tv and 4 some reason we tuned to the discovery channel and started watching crocodile hunter(which we have never done b4so it was strange). there he was picking up deadly spitting cobras and enjoying every minute of it and there's me and sandra dissing him and say the dude is a fool and crazy etc...little do we know that around abt that exact time a stingray has pierced his heart in Cairns.me i reckon thats why i watched that show ystrday...ndanga ndirikuto ona kuti hectic.
so i went off to uni and came back arnd 4:30pm and my sis calls me from work(which she never does) and says'steve's dead'. so i'm like huh..steve who? steve irwin, i'm like nah u joking and she's like 4 real! she was also touched! so i run and turn the tv on and 4 sho the dude is dead! u shld've seen me...i'm like shaking my head and mubbling to myself kuti shame,poor dude.
ko wat abt the poor kids man, when he died he was actually shooting part of a documentary he was doing with his 7yr old daughter Bindi(named afta a croc of course).

okay enuff abt steve...one would think he was part of my family...but on the news they said evryone is feeling like that arnd aus so it aint jus me...
anyway...RIP Stavo...Aussie Zoo will never be the same again

abt friday night!!

so friday night was THE big night 4 me,yup the official 21st celebration.day started of quite early coz i had to go into the city to buy earings and a bracelet and sumthing to keep me warm that night (i know,i shlda done it earlier and not left it til last minute...but ah well!) so i run around all morning doing all this and picking up the cake so by the time i got home i was tired already and this is kuma 1pm and i still gotta do the hurr(hair).so i do my hair and all, then all the other little stuff and b4 i know it its 5 and everyone's rocking up.so we all get sorted and the limo arrived at 6pm. eish,i can say we were pleasantly surprised to see it coz u know when u book these things u dnt actually know wat u're getting.so this 7 seater white limo rocks up and we all like whaaaa!!! tyt! so we get in and pop in the cd we did 4 the ride and we were off!! talk about rocking it huh...we had sum champgne and non-alcoholic wine(fancy grape juice!) as we rolled and it was just HOT man!! i must admit i felt like a celeb coz we was riding in stlye dressed not just to kill but to commit murder baby...hhehe(thats wat we said on my invites..crazy huh!) the driver took us via king's park which is this beautiful park thats on a hill overlooking the city of perth...the view was to die 4 man...it was hectic!so we stopped to take fotoz 4 like 5mins then continued to the restaurant.
the restaurant was called Hippo creek african steakhouse and grill..yup,going back to our roots and doing the whole african thang thang.the place is actually owned by south-africans and is decorated with african themes.it was totally hot.the menu was funny coz they had stuff like 'chicken shosholoza' and 'steak from the bundu'...i was like whaaaaa...wateva!! i can see these aussie thinking'aw wow totally cool' but i'm like thats just whack! oh oh..like 4 entree we had shaved biltong hey...like how cool is that! i aint had biltong(or beef jerky...whaaat!)in ages so that was pretty authentic african stuff huh...i was impressed! then all our meals ranged from ribs to prawns to steaks to chicken and beung the mabhoyi that we are we was all sharing and tasting each others food...very gwash but sha...wharried,aint nobody knew us there!! so we go from 7 till 9 gwazzing but we didnt have any dessert coz chii,that was all sorted at home with the cake and ice-cream.
so we got picked up by the limo again and headed home...it was funny coz peeps wre now zii coz the bellys were full man,it was hectic.we get home,put sum music on and got down man...had cake and watched the mtv awards at th same time..abt the mtv items ...shakira and beyonce had some GR8 performances it was crazy!!! respect to them chicks hey,damn!!! gotta look those performances up online to watch again hey...hectic!! so around 11 we decided to shuck but not before i had given evryone their gigt bags...yes,just like the oscars,emmys,mt awards everyone got a gift bag...it might not have been worth US$100 000 but i tried. the little bags had a mug and some choclates in it...yeah, u know how we do!! style baby style...hhehe i wish! but nah, it was cool,ka lil sum sumthng to thank ma hommies 4 coming.

anywho...we dedided to continue the party in Northbridge(the club/pub district). went to this club called Base where all the mabhoyi's go.it was packed man, but the music was good. i hadnt been out in yonks so i was determined to make the most of it coz i know it will be a while till i next go out so we had a fab time man..eish but the dance skills were a bit rusty huh...i reckon i shld keep up and dance here at home once in a while so that its not critical like it was then!!!oh and like i always do when i'm at this club (which is only like 3-4 times before!)i saw sum Gundi people..like how strange is that man...its like they r everywhere i go..hahah nah but it was cool,i saw tsungi mukushi and dwayne van der merwe.with dwanye it was real wierd coz he was behind the bar and so i'm there getting a drink and seeing this dude and thinking man i know this dude...so he finally spots me and he also stopped and pointed at me and yeah..we recognised each other and shouted over the bar our hie's how u doing's...it was strange!!
we were there till abt 4am then got lifts home from these other dudes i know from around and that was that...talk abt tired!! eish it was even on another level,i got up at midday sat morning and then i had to go to work at 3...yup,by that nyt i was ready to pass out i was sooooo gone.
but all in all it was hot man...off the hook day and it was memorable 4 sho.

lil update abt last night

sooo...last night was CRAZY!!! it sooo tight ka...i dnt even know where to start and thus i aint gonna do that now...eish, i'm too tired its even deep!! i'm going on like 4hrs sleep,yup, i got home at 5am so its even a mission to jus type this ryt now...okay let me go.will fill u in 2mrw propa propa ayt
