breaking up

i watched the movie The Break-Up which is out on dvd now and i must say it was different. it wasnt the typical love story that you get in all the movies now, it was more realistic in that the ending was not wat you expected. like, they do really break-up and go their seperate ways and not the usual mumbo-jumbo that you break up and 'hey presto!' they're back together again!. movie really need to start having real story lines and not this fantasy crap they churn out 24/7! coz you know wat, it just distorts reality when they have those soppy storylines they have...like honestly, they show people always happy, and in love, and getting along and there's always the perfect ending...but all that is b******t (excuse the french). i mean seriously, real life is just a whole different ball game man...people are not perfect, they have sad endings to relationships etc...thats whats real...that's what happens.
these people that make movies just set us normal people for failure...or wat we percieve as failure coz we compare ourselves and our lives to the stuff they have on tv and in movies. its such CRAP! CRAP, CRAP, and more CRAP!
hahaha...lol...so ya...not in a great mood today as you can see...jus stress from bloody presentation i have to do in like 30mins of which i aint to prepared for...but ahhh well. at least there's 3 other people to share in my misery of standing up in front of a class full of strangers hey...
okay..let me get back to memorizing my part then head home...its been a long uni day!

devil wears prada...

so yesterday my friend chea decided to ngo watch a movie and managed to drag me along...(not too much of a movie person, rather watch dvds in the comfort of my own home) but anyway, decided to go coz it had been like 6months since i had watched a movie at the cinema. so we went straight after uni and had some waffles with cream and ice-cream in the city be4 the item...it had been a while and so the waffles were oh so going down! yummo! so we went to watch the movie and i must say it was quite enjoyable hey. it didnt blow me away but it wasnt a total waste of money either. i must say tho,Meryl Streep is a great actress hey, like she played her charater so well it was even deep. then the clothes in that movie ka...just makes you wanna be rich and buy like haute couture stuff man!! the chanel, valentino, langerfeld, gucci, prada products on show were HOT!!! one day man...one day is all i can say! just you wait...hahaha i'll be honest and say i cant really picture me buying a US$2000 bag! i mean come on now! but you never know hey...mmmm

the opposite sex...mmm!!

WORDS WRITTEN BY AN OBSERVANT WOMAN
Good men are indeed all around us. We pass them on the streets, in the malls and the halls at work. Most we can't see because we don't know what a good man really looks like. He usually isn't flashy enough or rich enough to turn our heads. He might not wear a suit or push a BMW. He might not have a "body like Vin Diesel with a Brad Pitt face. " But, as you mature, you realize it's better to find someone who's got your back than someone who turns your head. A good man doesn't agree whole heartedly with everything you say. He doesn't just tell you what you want to hear and do the opposite. He doesn't declare how sensitive, sweet, caring, sincere, yada yada he is (he wont have to because it shows). He has his own opinions and you may clash, but he doesn't have to degrade you to prove he's right. He even admits at times to being wrong, especially if you are willing to do the same. A good man is not going to meet every item on your checklist. He is human with frailties and faults mixed in with all of his wonderful, strong attributes. He needs your love and respect. He needs to feel that you don't live to "catch" him doing something wrong so you can declare, "Aha! I knew you were a dog!!" A good man doesn't necessarily give you a huge birthday or Valentine's gift. He shows his love in the ways that are comfortable to him. Don't judge him by TV standards (...Bold and the Beautiful...). No one lives that fairy tale for real. You'll miss out on your own fairy tale by buying into the myth that our men are no good. It's just not true. Men, we salute you, and thank you for who you are and all you've done.

pressure's off now

so its monday and i just handed in my last assignment from that crazy week that was last week. i'm sooo glad all thats over and i intend to be chilled this week, despite examz being 4 weeks away! imma go shopping 2mrw and then the perth show on wednesday...relaxing stuff 4 sho i tell u.

so staurday was the Aussie rules footy grand final day. like its the biggest sporting event in australia and its just this one massive PR item its jus too deep. i remember my 1st year in Aus and i'd only been here 2 months when this was on...and i remember watching this sport that i had no clue about and think...what the hell!! but now that i've watch 3 grand finals now i must say i understand the game a bit better. i was at work on sat and so like every tv inb the place was on channel ten so basically i watched the whole game...eish it was tense huh..,.like it was West coast eagles vs, sydney swans so u can imagine how all the people in WA were feeling!! excited is an understatement. last year was the exact same teams in the final and west coast lost by 1 point!! so guess wat happens this year, the roles are reversed and the Eagles one by 1 point...u should have seem them Aussie hey...they went ballistic!! like totally crazy...people partying in the streets, cars hooting etc...u would've thot hameno sum big things going on!!(well 4 them it was i guess)
anyway i enjoyed the game though i didnt watch the last 5 mins coz i couldnt handle it...it was too tense man! i'm such a pessimist so i was convinced the eagles would lose so i didnt watch...
anyhoo....it was a crazy day...and now they gonna talk about it till next year!!
ah well....zvanzi if you cant beat em join em and thats wat i'm doing...being all aussiefied...hahaha...hectic!
